Keyless Remote Programming Issue

I recently ordered a Keyless Entry Remote for my car from Ebay's Midwestkeyless and I followed the programming instructions as given on programyourremote.com
I got it programmed but only the Unlock button will work.

I sent them an e-mail about it but I thought I'd try to get some responses/ideas here. :th_question1:

That's pretty odd. Sounds like the remote may be having an issue. Does the trunk release work?

The trunk release does not work. The odd thing is, last night the only thing it would do was Unlock but this morning I got it to Lock just by trying it for the hell of it. I unlocked it and tried it again and it worked. :th_scratchhead:
So I also tried the Panic button and now it works. So I'm really not sure what's going on. And I tried to lock it when I got home today but it wouldn't. So opened the door up and it locked with the remote.
I'm really confused...

What numbers? When I got the car in the summer I did not receive a keyless remote with the car. So this is the first one I've ordered.
I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix. The GM number on the back of my new remote is 10246215.
Any idea?

Also, I contacted the seller of the remote (Midwest Keyless Inc) and described my issue that the remote would work sometimes and sometimes it wouldn't and so he was saying that it could be a problem with my car's security system and that the dealer may need to update it or check it out to see if it has problems. Is this common? What should I do?
