lol thats not even the same car as the first pic. I call shenanigans.

Take a look at the door in the first pic it reads: "ACDELCO 400"

Now take a look at the pics of the car those read: "AC-DELCO 400"

Possible Clone AND it is debaged in the first pic :th_biggrin2:

Their AD states "Collector Car! OFFICIAL NASCAR PACE CAR!! Complete with WHELEN in lens and on roof strobe lights! The real thing!! Last race was Oct 26, 1997 at Rockingham, N.C.!! All lettering still on car! Listed in GM VIS as a special events car from Pontiac. Never privately owned! There are NO others!!!"

Right, and they couldn't get the lettering right.... Oh and I also have to point out, the red strip that reads "Grand Prix" has a black line under it, the original does not. Also look at the lettering "OFFICIAL PACE CAR", it has shadow lettering too, which the first pic does not. shenanigans

Hello, The v.i.n. is available for you, verifying with v.i.n. number, allowing you to research this cars history. You may call a GM dealer and research the v.i.n. to verify its original unique history with Pontiac Motorsports.
Thanks for you concern and words of caution though.

If I had unlimited funds...I'd give them what the car is worth...and maybe 500 bucks on top of that because it has 25K on it. So...like 6500.

Ok... Im puzzled how this "thing" was ordered/built. For instance, MY 99GTP pulls up immediately as a 4dr GTP Sedan, this is a 97 2dr GT... but still has the "merchandised" GTP pkg added in from the factory in the RPO codes. Lists as coming with all of the GTP emblems *note original pictures don't have them on the doors*, including 4 sets of custom exterior ornamentation RPO Codes (not sure what they are, Id imagine the decals, as they are not listed as factory parts)

Other than listing as a GT with the l67 engine (on my side, vin/title may say differently) Its plausible that this could be legit, just a funny build. The body stickers could have been redone tho for a "new/garage kept" appearance but was slightly off as it would be really REALLY expensive to have the EXACT same decals made up, plus the 2nd design looks better IMO

not sure what to make of it, more $$$ than I would care to spend on it, Ill leave it at that :th_tongue2:

in 97 the GTP wasn't a legit trim, it was a package.
That would explain the weird setup on the RPOs, probably is at least a legit GTP with some custom decals on it from GM, but I can't tell whether or not it would be an official pacecar

I am curious if this car has a speed limiter on it, or if it's raised, say 149mph or so, since it has Z rated tires?

Here are some options.
Limited Editions

Special Features

* White five-spoke 18" wheels and P235/40/R18 Z-rated tires
* Twin scoop ram air hood (functional?)
* Orange roof-mounted strobe lights
* Official NASCAR Winston-Cup Series emblems

And another one with the hood...
