• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Trouble shooting ???

My 98 GTP is stalling; I just replaced the LIM gasket, and put in new fuel injectors. It has new plug wires, new plugs, fuel filter,Idle air control valve, fuel pressure regulator which was all done before the LIM gasket & injectors were replaced;I replaced the Injectors because the car was missing @ #3 and stalling. I was hoping my problem with the stalling would get fixed in the process.(thinking the injectors were leaking @ O rings) After getting the car back after gasket work was done I continue to to have my stalling problem. Now I'm confused and wondering if my PROBLEM was the EGR valve. I'm getting poor gas mileage along with my stalling problem. The car has 166,000 miles on it if that would help to know. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Thank You!

Any codes? Have you checked all the vac. lines for a leak? How does it run at idle/in park? Does unplugging the MAF while idling make a difference?

When I unplugged the MAF it continued to idle ok. Today: The car does idle fine while it is in park. As for the codes I have on the car I got before having the LIM gasket fixed and the injectors installed. They are (#1) PO 303 (#2)PO 440 (#3)PO 452 Also I might add that sometimes when I turn the car off there is a strange sound that comes from behind the dash. When I started noticing my problems I also found that on the blower booster cap the left vac line has a screw in it plugging it up (vac line was removed?). I will figure my vac problem out. The car has been running that way it since I bought it, SOMEONE ELSE RIGGED IT UP... I WANT THE PROBLEM FIXED!! It all started with my exhaust.

Found the ProblemThe crank sensor was replaced, still no power to control module, all fuses are GOOD. The ignition module power wire was traced back to the fuse block where there was a burnt wire. Replaced the wire and she runs. What would cause this wire to melt/burn ? All kinds of electrical stuff wrong with this car.
