The filter that comes with your setup is awfully small, I would rather have a larger filter with less restriction

I understand your preference here. For those interested, we can sell the intake without the filter.

Only thing I could see working on a '04+ car is just bolting a filter to the end of the MAF and putting a hard pipe inbetween the TB and MAF instead of the rubber adapter.

I wasn't before, but you sound like you know something (I've got tb>rubber>maf>filter right now)
