Any one else going on this year's tour? It will be in Little Rock, AR on June 7 then Springfield, MO on the 8th, Topeka, KS on the 9th, Lincoln, NE on the 10th, Ames, Ia on the 11th, Rochester, MN on the 12th, and finish in Madison, WI the 13th. If any members make the show stop by and say HI you can not miss the pace car with the stripes gone mad Yes I have a type R sticker in the mail I thought the hotel bill was bad but with the price of gas I may max the credit card
 


I have been wanting to do the Hot Rod Power Tour for years, but never works out. I'm gonna try to make the Madison, WI stop this year if I can.
 
Let me add this to the calendar...I will try my best to be in Springfield on the 8th. I too have been wanting to do this but just cant get the vacation time needed to do it and all the other things.

I think its great that we have a member that is going to "Represent" this year, and I think we should do what we can to help support him, even if its just to show up and chear him on. If any of you can swing it, take some time out of the rat race and meet a fellow GPer.

I will be in Lincoln. It's just a hop skip and a jump away for me. If you have the GP, I'm sure we'll come up and talk to you.
 
One of the goals in my life is to follow the Hot Rod Power Tour the whole way. There no way in hell it'll will be anytime soon with the position i'm in, but maybe some day. I'll check with work, see if I can catch one city. I highly doubt it though...
 
Reptile we can make a convoy of two at least :-) and gr8racingfool you saw the polished snout in Branson hope to see you there this year.

Ugly damn car but I'd soooo roll in it, the looks gotta be priceless. Everyone has seen that movie 1,000 times. Hell I just saw it on cable a couple days ago!

Just curious, did Ford or some conversion company really make that car, or was it just for the Movie? I assumed just for the movie, otherwise i couldn't imagine anyone buying one. Anyone know for sure? I know it probablt based off a Grand Marquis or LTD wagon of course.
 


That guy is from the KC area, and he actually MADE that car. well...not made made it, but he put in the time to make it look like the Truckster. He said that he watched the move a LOT to get everything just right! LOL!
 
Yea that was cool a lot of work :th_peaceout: I saw your cars but never did see you they had us running around a lot to get entry's to drawing's so was I not around the car much and when I saw yours you were running around too :th_thumbsup-wink: sorry to have missed meeting you but the last two days were crazy with the weather. will you be at Branson ?

Yeah, things were pretty crazy with us too. We went around to get our free stuff as soon as we could, and then kinda just cruised through the whole thing a couple times in Little Rock. Eventually, I think the heat got to us so we ended up going back to the hotel.

We did see your car too, and another guy with a GTP....told him about the site, so we'll see if he registers or not.
