So I think its time to upgrade the braking system on the GTP. Its extremely bad with my new rims, I just replaced all brake pads 2 months ago. I was looking at zzp and wbody but theyre upgrades are expensive! Is there an alternative or am I stuck there?

another option is 06+ impala/ monte brakes

not unless he wants to get the 06+ monte/impala which are dual piston and way better then the stock calipers.

Thats what I thought he was talking about.
Screw using stock calipers and 12" brackets..

You can get 06+ monte/impala calipers and brackets for around the same price as those 12" old monte brackets.

As an aside, what'd you do with your stock wheels?

x2 on what Nick said.

dont expect your car to stop great if you have heavy ass wheels on...

if you want my opinnion, get hawk hps pads. i use them and they work great.

go to an auto wrecker and find some gxp brakes for it or a 98+ fbody with dual piston brakes or just get some 17 or 18s

I'll look for the impala or a GP GXP at the junkyard, what about the new malibu LTZ? probably wont work but I saw one there.. lol I'm not getting rid of my new Rockstars

when i was on 20's i had F bodies with 12 in powerslots up front and powerslots on rear with hawk PC pads... they stopped awesome.

I went to the junkyard and couldnt find Jack! I did manage to get a ranchhand bumper for my truck! I'll have to go to a different yard tomorrow
