• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Ok so i have seen some pretty good sounding imports running dual fart cannons and have kinda been considering doing it to my GTP, what do you guys thing. If maybe i get a good brand one too like magnaflow or something?

if you keep the stock ressy it might not sound bad.

i just think GPs should have a low and deep tone and i just dont see that comming from that kind of muffler. bat then again ive never heard it on a 3800

the problem with those mufflers is that they dont muffle a damn thing. they are just big straight through pipes.

Once the resonator seam popped on my GTP, I had it cut out and the U bend taken out at the same time. I thought it sounded pretty good and the cabin drone was not what I felt was too bad.

Mufflers gave out last year and had a local shop (same one that did the work above) put a couple of HP stainless mufflers. Real pretty polished stainless ovals (Stealth) with some baffles in them (not straight through tuner style round boys). Funny thing was I had to have them put a resonator in, cabin drone was real bad. Guess the stock mufflers were still muffling even though they had holes in them. New mufflers have a lower growl compared to the stock cans.

Magna Flows sound great on V8's not sure about a 3800.
Oops got that wrong, the TA has a Flowmaster, anyway, sounds great on the V8.

Mufflers are tough, easy to say "I don't like it" after it is all welded in place, just sucks to have to pay to change it.
