anyone else running no tcc lockup?

I recently hooked up performance shift to my car, having high shift pressure and quick shift times got to be old real fast. I have factory shift pressure, shift time, and adjusted t/c lockup with factory shift points, in regular drive. In performance shift mode, i set all t/c lockup to 255, set all torque reduction to 0, and shift pressure bumped up, shift times set to .1, and shift points set at 6200. I was just wondering who else has a similar setup. Could i be pre-mature wearing tranny parts with this type of setup?

trans is a tep built by dave, with desert fox tranny cooler

Ive got a transmission cooler much more beefy and jesus-like then your transmission cooler and if I drive down the highway for 20 minutes with no TCC lockup my **** gets pretty hot... hot, like, 215+ degrees when it would normally be 165-175 max with 100+ degree ambient temps.

Of course, the weather here makes your forearms sweat almost year round but the fact still remains that turning off TCC in every gear (including fourth) will reduce efficiency (aka gas mileage) and build up more heat. I have TCC in third disabled though since I never cruise in that gear and I think on all 3800 PCMs it is disabled by default in all of 1st and 2nd gear.

this is good to know. I think your the only one that gave me a straight answer on tcc lol. I turned p/s on, on the highway and saw tranny temps and rpms jump. I just checked my bin file and yeah, from factory its disabled in 2nd and 1st. A local member on here was helping me tune my car, he seemed to favor the idea of no tcc lockup at all in performance mode, he assured me that the car would perform better in corners and down shifting. I wanted just to make sure that this wont hurt my t/c (besides the high tranny temps). In regular mode all i did was increase t/c lockup by 10 mph in all tables and adjusted 4th, so it would release lockup with less throttle.

If you disable TCC lockup its not going to allow the fluid to cool down. You will notice your trans temps are going to increase.

Also your MPG is going to suck also.

Some people disable 3rd gear lockup which I did for a few months. I went back to using 3rd and 4th lockup because I wanted better MPG.

Just increase the TCC lockup to a higher MPH if it bothers you that much.
