Yesterday I posted a question....meaning obviously if I knew the answer I wouldnt have asked. But any way the question was simply asking....Is there any truth to hurting a Naturally aspirated 3800 by doing a top swap on it?, Being a mechanic told me it could damage the engine because of the difference in the pistons. Now me being new to the forum and new to Grand Prixs I thought it would be smart to come in the actual forum to ask if there is any truth to that happening? Now a common sense answer would have been a simply no...being that there isn't truth to it at all....But for somebody call me dumb and you dont know nothing about me is f@#ked. Next time a simple no would be awesome, I dont appreciate you trying to call me out and saying I'm dumb and like I said you dont know nothing about me....

Yeah I know, Its stupid and disrespectful to call somebody dumb, who actually came into a forum that deals with the car in question to see if what an actually mechanic said could happen? Like I said the person in question dont know nothing about me to be calling me dumb.
 
See this is a forum where people have come and asked your question a million times.

So generally if you searched in the N/A section or found the safely modding your 3800 thread, you would have been able to answer your own question.

which is yes, it can and it will, just like it'll blow up an l67 block. Its actually easier to blow them up since you're running high compression and boost.

But no, its our fault you didn't read.

I dont really care one way or the other, but you dont have call anybody dumb, all that was needed to be said was yes or no and theres more info on the forum. That doesn't seem to be to hard does it? Being the main reason people join a forum is to get info and to meet people who have the same interest. Better yet the person was a moderator, idk just sayin.

Ok being I didnt know this forum had a search option for threads, considering some dont. Would it have been easier to say just look here or there for your answer? And the dumb comment was uncalled for, okay I do understand alot of members may have the same question but to call somebody dumb for no real reason is just stupid being you dont know nothing about me man.

To have put in the research to know what parts to have and to know how to do a top swap, but disregard consideration of the principles of boost and compression when adding a supercharger to an engine smacks of intentional ignorance. Making that thread to ask that question is an annoyance to a lot of guys who answer similar questions on a daily basis for years. Some of them have stopped being gentle out of frustration.

Nevertheless, I would like to think that it should inspire some personal research. The information is not difficult to access in the same way that objects are not difficult to see when you open your eyes. The best policy is to invest your own time in gathering research and hard facts about every aspect of the operation, rather than rely on a couple quick forum replies for your expensive and potentially dangerous project. Nobody on the Internet owes anyone anything.

People on this site are a tool and if you notice all 7 or 8 people that post on this site pretty much say the same smart ass thing day after day.

If it's a hassle for you to be a moderator, then give up the job and give it to someone who wants it. I would think there'd be more important issues to attend to rather than entering a newbies thread, strutting your **** and acting like an ***.

Its all good GreyGhost :th_thumbsup-wink: ....I just feel its stupid to come at me like that and they don't know anything about me (Proper spelling and english I guess) but it is what it is.
