when you get a new supercharger actuator do u have to adjust it or do you just pop it on and go????
The actuator is the round deal with the plunger deal coming out of the bottom. Most people call that the boost bypass valve. The BBV is actually the little box below that has the electrical hook up.
No, thats the solenoid.
The actuator is the giant cylinder on the side that closes the valve, the bbv is inside the case.
So basically the OP forgot to mention its the BBV actuator.

Your car will be fine, just won't be able to go into boost.
depends on how its broken.
if its stuck closed... you can easily get into boost.
if its stuck open then you're stuck at 4-5 lbs of boost which isn't bad at all.
