• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Power wire amp to battery

its been said MANY TIMES
theres a whole in your firewall run the wire though that then down one of the sides to the trunk
not that hard...

WITH A TERMINAL!!! but seriously go thru the passenger side under the dash behind the blower motor

Connect at the top of the fuse box behind the giant red thing with a giant + on it.

Yo trav, make a thread with pics and i'll get it stickied okay?

that would be a good idea, pics in this case are pretty much essential for people doing their 1st stereo installation

your confused, i was into audio when i was 15 so when i got the car at 18 i already knew what to do

then i wanted to go faster so i joined GPF and sold everything after my system ruined my struts

YAY

I havent really started many threads after checking. Musta just hi-jacked someone elses thread.

But srly, I dont mind a slow car as much if I can listen to music.

But if it has neither a sound system or speed then I'm not interested in driving it.

right ive been saving up money (some due to selling my system) and im more than ready for a top swap, i still have aftermarket tweeters and speakers that a 200 watt amp powers, but stock cd player, sounds good tho

Why does everybody connect at the fuse box? Simpler install is my only guess? Even though I don't see anything wrong with wiring at the fuse box I still went straight to the battery. I like the simplicity of that. Something just makes me feel uneasy at the thought of pulling power through top of the fuse.

because the alternator power wire goes there?

Because it results in a shorter run?

If you were a REAL boss you'd connect directly to the output of the alt.
