:th_exploding:So today I was driving like normal and while turning, all of a sudden I heard a loud pop like someone had thrown a baseball at the car. I looked and saw nothing so I figured it was just my broken sway bar making noises again. then on my way home later im driving and all of a sudden I hear another pop and a noise like something falling off of the car and when i look in the rearview I see a circular metal thing rolling off into someones lawn. come to find out its my right front spring and apparently if you need to replace one you have to do both at the same time. so now I have to walk to work for a month until I can come up with $400 to fix it. all of this right after I replaced the engine twice, a busted rim and tire, tie rods, control arms, and so much more. just wanted to vent. if anyone can help me find cheaper parts than tell me. should I trust ebay on this one?
 


Ed Morad would be able to send ya an assembly for cheap. or just the spring if you have you own spring compressor.

Wow...how many miles do you have on your car? I haven't had near as many problems with mine. I have done some maintenance. But breaking springs, I have never!
 
I'm guessing the car was wrecked and never properly repaired since all the suspension has now been replaced am I correct ?
 
Nothing agianst Ed or anything, he's a kick ass guy, but shop around before you just go out and order it from him. There are better deals out there in some cases.
 
thanks guys. yah I have no Idea why it happened. Im thinkin maybe because of not having a sway-bar and the guy before me apparently tried "drifting" by slammin the e-brake. I drive rather spirited as well but not hard enough to do this! I did hit a curb doing like 45 one time that I had to replace a few things(hit it hard enough to twist up the rim!) btw should I just go ahead and lower It? should I get used springs?
 


hah whoops! guess I need the whole strut because of worn out bearings or something! Im getting the monroe quickstrut for $360 so its not too bad. its just bad for me because its the slow season at work so getting that much will take a bit.
