What's the deal with auto dim mirrors two in the past month

So for some reason I have bad luck with these auto dims mirrors. I actually planned on selling the ones I got from the junkyard but turns out I have to used my last one. Every time I will get in my car and there will be a big smudge spot on it, and when you press in it it appears to have liquid inside. Please someone give me some insight.
 


it's got something to do with the auto-dim. i don't know details though.

my rearview was mint, went to arizona for 7 months last year, it's now effed.
 
when i got my '99 GT, the auto dim mirror was shot. looked like brown had been smeared all on it. i think it has something to do with long-term heat.. but idk
 
Yeah it has been a hot ass summer, but this is kinda ridiculous my last auto dim was so mint. Wonder how much they are brand new.
 
I replaced mine a few years back and it lasted 3 months. If it gets super hot in your car the liquid that it charges to give you the auto dim will break the seal and leak out. Mine was shot when i bought the car. I replaced it and it went bad as well.

based on just browsing auto dimming mirrors, the basic ones without temps and compass is like $67+, i think around $80 for most IIRC.

umm where did u replace yours from?
 
Just broke my last one it started leaking going around a turn all over the interior. I am done with these mirrors is there any different replacements I can use. Please someone send me a link.
