I have a .40 Taurus PT24/7, a 9MM Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro and a 9MM P95 Ruger. My next handgun will be some sort of Springfield Armory XD. I need to hit the range. Its been awhile. Also want to try out a Glock and a M&P.
i love to cock back my fist. thats enough for me
does a bear **** in the woods?.... YA
I cant stand the springfield xd, its just so awkward feeling, however the M&P shoots great (and Glock too of course)I have a .40 Taurus PT24/7, a 9MM Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro and a 9MM P95 Ruger. 1911. Smith and Wesson makes a nice one.
To each his own, grips are all about the individual persons hand angle so it wont fit right for some but great for others, no one can honestly call them crap tho, they work and are very reliable as are other pistols(cept maybe hi-point lol jk) ive shot every model glock out and the only ones I dont really care for are the G.A.P. models. They have new models out with interchangable back straps so that might help.Whoa didnt catch this thread considering Ive been walking around for about a month now since I got to Afghanistan with a military issue 9mm and my M16A4 figured I better post something. I have a Springfield XD 40 cal compact and looking to buy a DPMS AR 15 when I get home. About who ever was talking about glocks grab a VHS tape and pretend your holding a pistol, Their pretty much the same D@MN thing every Glock ive picked up was bluky unbalanced and uncomfortable gripped piece of ****, If you like Glock go pick up a Springfield XD anyone of the ones they make Ill bet youll like it more. Yeah Basically I hate glocks.
REALLY!?!? AMAZING! IM GOING TO GO LOOK RIGHT NOW!!!!:th_shakinghead1:the internet.
TCO, if money is the thing getting in the way, then consider what louisdamani has. A Taurus PT111 is a real nice shooting sub that is more reliable than a Hi Point, but won't break your wallet. They can be had around here for under $320, out the door. If it's for plinking with, then I'd not buck too much on a Hi Point. They're pretty simple, but are a real bear to tear down to clean.
If you think you'll ever carry regularly, then I wouldn't want to bank my life on a Hi Point. Your life is worth more than $120. If the first round cartridge decides to stove pipe on you (assuming it took more than one for a fatal), your attacker will react quicker than you. The other side of that, though, is that it's better to have something, than nothing at all if you're faced with a situation like that. If nothing else, it would make a great club - they're heavy.
