• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Did you have to weld your headers for your 3800?... ie to keep them from leaking or other fitment issues?

Yes, No, or Other-explain... please state brand of headers.

My vote yes - pacesetter.

ive had two sets of headers.

TOGs: these leaked, but that's because the flanges were warped from the previous owner tightening them down too much and oval-ing the flanges.

S&S: these never leaked one bit and were easy as hell to install.

YES on SD headers, but was a personal choice. I wasn't sure the RTV would last enough or be as good as welding them.

on my speed daddys.... everything under the car is welded. band clamp on front of crossover and NO clamp on rear of crossover. :) no leaks.

No i did not have to, but need to or do something different. They are SSAC and leak at the rear.

Nope had TOGS when they still had their life time warranty. Perfect fit. Friend in town still has his no leaks out side of down pipe from RAT.

no, ebay SLP knockoffs-no modifying needed, just a little difficulty getting the rear header to slide into place

I voted yes, but I welded mine by choice. I have pacesetters. They don't leak one bit. I did away with the paper gasket on the 3 bolt flange for a copper crush gasket.

NO SSAC's I used Mega Copper RTV from O'Rileys and the included clamps. NO LEAKS! If you install these correctly you will be fine.

SSAC No leaking anymore. Had to weld the test pipe in. Anyone have to beat the tunnel cause of the o2 hitting (if you are lowered) ?

No but it is SOooo close.

If i use the short dogbones this happens...

About leaks, i have a couple because the crush clamp crushed the inner pipe (this means i cannot remove the pipes) so i have been debating welding it..

with mega copper RTV actually stand up to the temps if i can get some in the joint?
