wierd color in my coolant hoses

I bought a fully assembled engine at a junkyard for $400 which i think was a very good price. i was excited when i got home because of the good deal. when i unloaded it, i saw that the inside of the top and bottom coolant hoses were a white color like chalk. its as if someone painted the hoses white. also, the coolant passages on the plenum also had white but kind of like a silicone type of white stuff. has anybody ever seen this cause i dont think its because of the engine just sitting outside in the sun cause i saw them taking the engine out of the grand prix which took them about an hour and a half.
 


sounds like someone was running stop leak, probably because the intake gaskets were leaking if I had a guess.

I have never seen white stop leak.

Replace the gaskets on the engine and when you put it in flush th cooling system and you will be good to go.
