Oxymoron: Civic - Fun
Dont know if this is a worth while story or not but I havnt posted in a while so why not.......the other day I was on the way to a buddies house and was on the long back road that is just great for cruisin with no lights or stop signs for maybe 10 miles. Anyway as I got on the road I found that I was behind what looked to be maybe an 05-06 blacked out WRX with the typical loud exhaust and blow off valve, but we couldnt do anything because he had a car in front of him for a while but the whole time behind him I was kind of pushing on him to let him know I was there......so finally the car in front of him turns and I see him look back and then we both kicked it from a roll of about 10....there was no ground made on either of us until about 70 and I pulled on him pretty good until I let off around 90 or maybe more, it was pretty cool I guess....just let me know that my car can find some balls if it has to lol, the look on his face was priceless when we did get to the stop sign finally and I pulled into the gas station and he just had the look of "what the..."
 


05 and 06 are completely different cars, so ill assume it was an 05. the 06+ WRX has the same motor as the STI, but a smaller turbo and intercooler.

either way, nice...stalemate.
 
well it was only a stalemate till about 70 then I beat him top end, thinking about selling this one and picking up a G8 GXP, it just looks like alot of fun lol.
 


Who said anything about a car payment? lol jk, I dont think it would be no more than a hundred more a month than what im paying now. Its just that they got such amazing reviews and I want a six speed manual thats RWD and has 415 hp and is not yout typical camaro or mustang hooplah.
 
Every $1,000 is an approx increase of $25 on a monthly payemnet (assuming 7%). That is what I was told when looking at my GP. It was mostly true. So you figure at 35K car... thats gonna be a nice one Better have a HUGE down payment

So you've got 35K to drop on that thing? Or at LEAST 20K...because they won't give you probably more than 13-15K trade-in for your GXP and thats being nice. Sh1t...even a 20K loan for 5 years is over $300 a month. What are you paying on the GXP? Did you buy it brand new? Even then I don't think they got above 30K. And just to crunch some quick numbers for you...a 35K loan even for 5 years is nearly $600 a month...you must make bank.

GXP's were 6-spd's...not auto's.
 
well I pay over $400 right now and I got my car with 20k miles on it in 08, it was just an idea and probly will never happen.....probly...and no I dont make "bank" lol. hey blue what is your gt on xbox? ill add you tomorrow.
 


Those cars are no joke. I raced a WRX STI and got my ass handed to me. This was before my 3.4", but those cars are ****in nice.
