• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

sorting through some KR problems

I'm getting spikes of KR in the top end randomly. Sometimes it's 0* and has only gotten as high at 3*, usually it's around 1*-1.5*. I'm running a 3.4" setup right nowand had no KR on the stock tune and recently went with a DHP tune and that't when it started popping up. Only spikes when I'm in the very top end before it shifts. I have no way to get a scan of what the car is doing, do have a KR scanner. Trying to figure out if this is false since I need to replace the blower coupler and have a chipped piston right now as well. What is everyone's thoughts on this?

3.4", ported blower, plog, catless DP, !u-bend, 180* thermo, K&N cone, DHP.

3* isnt false in the least and is not that much. its fairly typical for your level. you need a good custom tune now.

Just kinda a lame thing to mention...but do you have stock plugs/wires? If not...toss some new wires with AL104's in there...that should kill some knock...with those mods your car is going to need a cooler spark.

Re-Read that a few times and let me know what you find wrong with those words.

Chipped piston could very well be a problem to, and if it's not the cause of this, it will be an issue later on if you keep pushing it.

I'm collecting parts to fix the piston right now, trying to get a hold of a larger Thrasher pulley. As for ignition I'm on stock coils and new wires, been running 104s.

If you got a chipped piston...I wouldn't be beating on it to see what levels of KR you have...you might still be able to save the block and crank.

I haven't been beating on it really. The motor has been this way since spring break. I'm almost ready to pull the motor.

I'm just going fomr the fact you were saying you were getting KR in your top end...which means high RPM...which means WOT for the most part.

I understand ya, I go WOT sometimes just to remember why I'm fixing it :)

Sometimes meaning like only twice a week
