Will an Eaton M62 fit a 98 Grand Prix GTP?

I tried searching and couldn't find anything, I'm sure its been asked before though.

I saw an Eaton M62 on the internet that I wanna buy because the supercharger on a 98 GP GTP that I'm about to buy needs to be replaced. Any help? thanks

I don't think that you can swap it over, it's trash anyways. It's to small for our motors. You can find good M90s all day long.

it could work, but its not worth it at all, it does not produse as much boost and the a m90 is the best option

It doesn't fit. It is VERY in-efficient...it actually makes more boost because of the 2.8" pulley from the factory but made less horsepower than the M90 because it's a giant metal cold air intake that whines...its epic GM failage. In fact...it isn't even an option. GenIII or GenV...or if you have deep ass pockets...a MP112 Hybrid swap or a Whipple W140AX.

Right...should be less than $150-$200 complete.

hey thanks you guys.
so how does the m62 compare to the stock supercharger?

Check the forsale section. There are always a few floating around. Just don't buy anything from American Superchargers. :th_shakinghead2:

M62 = 62 ci of air per revolution
M90 = 90 ci of air per revolution

Rebuilding an M90 is easy and relatively cheap. Buying another M90 off someone on the club is also cheap. Gen 3's can be found for usually $100 like the one sitting in my garage at the moment.

M62 is a down grade from a M90, and like said above, its not a direct replacement.

You would need to go with another M90, and a exact replacement like what you have (a GenIII - 1997-2003 models) or upgrade to a GenV (2004+). Gen V. would requite some machining to the LIM to make it .5" larger in the front, and you would need a TB adapter bracket, and a EVAP block off plate for the back side of it.
