i am in the process of making a basic air intake. Im having a problem connecting the filter to the pvc pipe. It connects but its not sturdy. I have a spectre air filter and 4" pvc pipe. can someone please tell me how to connect these? the part number of the filter is 8132. It says for use with 3" 3 1/2" and 4" systems please help.

i tried but it doesnt workk am i supposed to put the pvc inside the rubber? or outside? its not working at all

4" thin wall pvc is 4"i.d not o.d ran into same problem with a spectre filter as they wont stretch much. I said F it and bought a JMB Intake.

No...I'm just pointing out that open cone is the cheapest and it yields the best power results along with beyond the best throttle response out of all of them.

Umm, the open cone out performed all of them...

Ah, no. I only tested a "CAI" Box and Open Cone intakes. I did not have a fenderwell intake to test. While the open cone seemed to (ever-so) slightly out-perform the box, the results of a fenderwell intake are yet unknown, as far as I know, as compared to them.
