Painted Head Lights, New LED tails, New Silver Arrow..

:th_thumb-up: Ok, So I had some extra time last month and did a few things, I painted my Headlights to match my car, that was a very rough job, but it turned out really good IMO, I Just got these new LED tails, and just put a new silver arrow on my front... Tell me what yall think.. Should I keep it this way, or make changes..... I kind of like it,, Next im really thinking about going with some black, or gunmetal racing stripes over the entire car.. I like the look, I know it is rice, but I kind of think it will work with my scheme.. but be honest, I can take it.. :confused:

That looks great. I love the all silver, that's how I did my GT.. minus all the sweet body parts lol.

I would try darker silver stripes, since everything blends in, you don't want something like black that sticks out like a sore thumb. At least that's what I think.

Yeah, I think you are so right,, makes alot of since, why go black when everything else is silver yet subtle,, Dark silver or light grey? Thanks for the fast comments.. I havent seen many of our cars with the headlights painted like i did mine, wonder why?

That's why I always wanted a black car so i can do matte black or dark grey accents. Always look good. Subtle is so nice when it's done correctly.
 
First car I liked matching headlights on.

On the other hand, the hood doesn't look like it's the right color.

Yeah, I was really thinking about getting some Black rims with chrome hubs,,, But, the black rims look a little dirty to me if not correctly done. But, I might just do that.. thanks for the input everyone.. Now, I want my stripes..
 
If you want to make the silver stand out I would get some kind of small strip on your hood where in scoops start on the front of the hood and go back to the scoops intake themselves in a black or grey and then get the pontiac on the front bumper to match and as well the arrowhead even though you just changed it and then maybe a small pinstripe down the side nothing crazy just to make the silver pop some more. I like color matching as much as the next guy but its just a little too much color matching. If your grills werent silver as well you could probably pull it off just fine.

I have done about 5 sets of silver ones..& alot of red ones..

Wow, Nash, I was just about to ask you what in the heck you were trying to relay, I was about to ask if you would do a sketch over my pic,,, Guess we were on the same wavelength..lol.. Yeah, I see what you mean, But what about further up the hood, over the entire both of the scoops portions? I like the sides like that, just some simple pin striping... However, I do not like the black arrowhead, I took one picture of the black before i placed the silver over it,,,, i dont like it much, but tell me what you think.. ----- Well, now that i look at it more, and put it in context with your photoshop, I think you just might be on to something... The black arrow will go good with the black stripes on the side, and over the scoop,, I am going to try and do some photoshoping how you just did, maybe I will come up with a winning combo.. thanks for the great idea..

Flip, do you have any pictures of the ones that you did? How did they turn out? This was not an easy task by any means, I would have rather paid someone to do it..lol... But, now that I have completed this task, I think a second time would be much easier and much faster, and prob nicer, but these turned out clean, they just took forever and ever.. Flip, what else do you do? Any engine detailing?

NICE,, Flip, I just seen your link and pictures,, beautiful work man.. I love the tinted and painted fronts and backs,, They look great,, what is the TA time if I sent you my stocker tails to be tinted and painted silver?,,, Darnit, I wish I knew you could do this before I got my new LED tails,, but an extra set would not hurt..

well if you want to keep your silver arrowhead you can always go with black factory grills so it will start with black on the grills then it will flow up into your black scoops. But rather then painted the scoops all black do the fronts like I showed you in the my pic i showed you and then do the vents as well know what I mean?

Heres another quickie but you get my idea here. i dont really care for cars with stripes going down the center of the whole car. Oh and your welcome for the ideas. Its your car you can do how you please I just like to give out my ideas on what I would do.
