Where can i get a DHP tuner??? I have looked all over and all i can seem to find is a bunch of forums for it...Plus can you tune more than one car with it or is it a buy more credits thing????
 


DHP Powertuner is no longer manufactured. they went out of business, but there are still some powertuners still floating around out there and being sold used.

you would be able to modify any 3800 series II PCM with it an unlimited number of times, unlike HPTuners.
 
ok i want one but ill have to see what i can find, plus i take it that it is just software you use on your laptop? or is it a physical tuner device??

You have to install the software on your pc. I would suggest to post a "Wanted" ad on CGP and here.

Technically you can only modify any GM car that you can find a bin file for that's on the supported list. Not all are 3800's, some are other GM V6's. And some 3800 vehicles were never opened up. If no one ever requested the vehicle, then Charles didn't automatically open it.

DHP is now open for all in that list. Previous to being discontinued it was a credit based system, similar to HPT. Since being discontinued it's a better value than HPT. The interface, software, scanning and a few other things about it are remedial compared to HPT. You can tune and tune well with either though.
 
ok, so basically when i buy one i should get the software and a serial number with a USB to serial adapter??? I was reading something about emailing a ticket in??

gmv6pcm.com is the powrtuner site. You can download the software from there... when you have your tuner (they will want your serial number to approve you).

The device has a serial connection, so you will need a usb to serial adapter. They recommend Keyspan ...but I use another kind for mine.
 
I realize this is 3 years old, but I might be interested in a tuner. If you still have it lying around, please PM me and let me knoe what youd want for it. Thanks.
