2000 Pontiac GP SE with NO OD

I have a 2000 Pontiac GP SE 3.8L with 153k miles on it and it won't shift into OD. It runs at about 3100 RPM when driving at 70 MPH. There is a whinning noise coming from the front end. The whinning noise only happens when it should be in OD. No matter the speed. I've read on previous post on this forum that the 4th clutch hub might be causing this. Do I have the same problem? And is it hard to fix? Any help is much appreciatted. Thanks.
 


I took it to a transmissions place and they hooked a computer to it. The car wants to engage the 4th gear, but its not allowing it. The 4th spline is stripped. I now only have 3 gears. It needs a total rebuild, so I guess I'll be driving with 3 spds for awhile.
