Junkyards

All I want is some effin tail lights that dont leak, and spending all day driving around once a month to junkyards to come home with nothing gets old quick. Since I bought my car Ive only seen one GP in a yard and it was a tan 97 SE and it was gutted.

I mean I cant find a damn GP in the same 10 acre yard that had a new unwrecked charger and a CTS?

Anyone else have problems with large junkyards and no cars to take parts from?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA , I FOUND AFEW OLDER ONE'S BUT NOT ANY LIKE MINE,I CAN FIND SOME AT THE JUNKYARD'S THAT YOU PAY THEM TO PICK THE PART FOR YOU BUT THEY SELL THE PART'S LIKE ALMOST NEW,AND THERE NOT , THERE ALL USED PART'S AND NOT WORTH THE PRICE....SO I USE THE INTERNET TO BUY PARTS, AT LEAST IT'S NEW.:th_thumbsup-wink::th_thumbsup-wink:

i have hard time find monte carlo period if i do find one they are gutted out. lot of grand prix here gt and one or two gtp.

dude! what i ment was that i can't find any grand prix's out here either , unless i pay them to pick the part for me. and if you can't find them when you need it and have no choice , you have to buy it new , don't get me wrong, i go to the junkyard's to get part's for my other car's,nothing ment by my post, i have the same problem in california ( L. A .) :th_thumbsup-wink:

Hehe.. It is horrible around here for any GP parts. I called around to every junk yard in the area looking for a head light for a 08 or 02 GP with amazing disappointing results. Only found one place that actually had a 02 headlight, zero places for the 08! It came complete with years of haze and rock chips for a meager fee of $120 if I went to pick it up! I’m like you do realize I can buy a new aftermarket one for much less shipped to my door???:th_tongue1:

BTW when I called around I wasn’t initially asking for particular parts, I was asking them if they had those car models (ie 97-08) because I also was also interested in getting exhaust manifolds to play with. There just seems to be a complete lack of GPs in junk yards <period>:confused:

I now believe there must be a mass conspiracy by GM to confiscate these cars. Just like they did with the EV1s! We must act quickly to stop them.

All kidding aside, Morad is basically my only choice short of taking a day trip somewhere.:th_shakinghead2:
 


Go to 8 mile and Hoover. there r plenty of grand prixs there and none of them r gutted. did i mention they r cheap to!!!
 
Yea I'll have to check that yard out if it's worth the drive
for me, it's bout an hour away. An yea, is it a decent area? IDE my
rims stolen haha

my bad bro, my daugther's play on the computer as well as me , i never noticed the caps we're on, i wont yell anymore .:th_thumbsup-wink:
