430+ whp on an m90?



apparently you didnt read whos car that is...

of course the OWNER of zzp will have the high hp record for an m90. he also has one of the only m90 cars that runs 10s. he has all the parts and one of the best 3800 shops at his disposal so if he didnt hold that record then itd be a shame.

making that much power on a normal grand prix would be impossible. most m90 setups max out in the 350whp range for a reason. the motor in that car is probably $10k worth of parts alone.
 
That 3.0" on there also equates to a 2.8" pulley on most setups with the balancer they put on there.

They love breaking records. They've also worked on enough cars over the years to know what works and what doesn't.

Doubt it...unless someone is dumping enough money into a WBody that is worth 3K and its enough to pay for more than half of a nice C5 Z06

No ****. People barely break 350whp with a decent cam, genV and a nice intercooler on a high compression block. Every horse after that is $$$$.
 


its a gen 3, stage 3 ic, 3.0 pulley, xp cam, zzp 1.0 pcm, togs, injectors i think thats all. i was there at dyno time so.....

well you left that information out in your first post... but thats about right for those mods.
 
best time we got so far is a 12.71 it was around 110mph. that was last year. this year only gettin 12.81 best. the ic pump was on fritz and finally went last week. the other thing is i need more practice tuning car. i got a dhp tuner

Yeah, there are a lot of different ways you can go with the setup and tune to get good results. I tuned a regal which ran a 12.7 with a 3.3" pulley on a s1x cam, non-IC, non-Meth. Thats on a 2.0 60ft. This year we ran consistent 12.8's on 2.1-2.2 60fts. If we could cut the 60fts down to 1.7-1.8 we'd be making some decent times.
 


Alright so let me make sure i got this right its the zzp owners car makes 400 some hp on a M90 has a **** load of money in the engine. Can some one explain why in the hell they didnt turbo it??? M90 blowing through a damn straw, Turbo more like blowing through a sewer pipe. I dont get the point of this. The money doesnt reflect the hp in that car at all. Id dare say a turbo car could make 600 hp for half that.
 
because he has the fastest m90 car.

its already been shown that joe shmo down the street can make 500+ whp on a turbo setup.
