I didn't realize how big a turd the base charger was till Monday when I was on my way to Home Depot with my friend. We were stopped at a light and there was a young dude driving it so I figured he might be game. I did the inch up and brake thing a couple times and he did it back. Light turns green, I get off to somewhat of a bad start (I've had better) but I still managed to beat him like it was nothing. Btw my 2004 GT is bone stock, except for some diy body damage mods. /kill story
 


he prolly woulda taken you. they have like 220 or so but dont quote me on that. i had a 99 concorde with the 3.2(basically the same as the 3.5 just different connecting rods) and it would hang with GTs.
 


I checked them out on Dodge's site and they rate them at 250hp/250tq. Probly wouldn't have beaten me by much considering how much they weigh, but I still would've lost. Time to boost! :th_winking:
 
We ran a V6 Charger with exhaust on it in my buddy's GT2 Cammed SE (L36 car)...and we nosed it from a 30-100 and a 70-120...but the higher the speed the closer it got...I THINK he said we were around 130 and it started to inch away...but like stated...it was the 3.5...the 2.7 is a horrible engine choice.
 
Good thing about street racing 17 second cars is that you probably wouldn't even get noticed by the police...

They would probably think you were just getting up to the speed limit.
 
Not true.... i know people who have been driving their 16 second cars normally and gotten pulled over for "street racing" when no one was around.
 


2.7 sucks(not air). but 3.5 wouldve stuck better but dont think it would be much faster than your gt. but 2.7 with a turbo is nice, friend has a rat rod with that setup and its kind of peepy, and the look on people faces when it blows off, lol priceless
 
And this is why i say what i say about this site and its members. Here we have a person posting in the KILL section about how he beat a 200HP 4000lb boat. Im sorry but my 2.7 V6 04 dodge stratus would have ate this thing for lunch. If this would have been posted on LS1tech.com or any other site devoted to an even moderately "fast" car you would have been laughed at in every post. How about something like "Grand Prix GT vs. 03 Mustang GT". Atleast you would be racing a car with SOME balls!
 
Way to make yourself look like a dick. Why are you even a member here if all you do is talk sh*t about the other members? I know my car isn't fast, it's f*cking stock. You think your Stratus is cool? Stock vs. stock it would lose against my very uncool Grand Prix, THAT's how cool your Stratus is. And for the record, I wouldn't race against a Mustang GT or anything with balls. Why? Only someone who is completely retarded would race when they know for a fact they're going to lose.

Looking back now my post was retarded. I was tired and sick of hearing people talk **** about me and my car. My girlfriend and her sister are constantly telling me what a 'waste of money' it is to spend anything on my car. Stupid women, they get the best of me sometimes...
