dic boost gauge only shows half boost

So i know i need a "real" boost gauge but im working with what i have ok

the car is still running like a drunken hog (not well) and im taking it easy on her but when i have opened it up i've noticed the boost gauge in the dic only shows about half boost. now it still runs like it has a vacuum leak so im thinking my problem is something like this: http://www.grandprixforums.net/f81/factory-boost-gauge-question-98gtp-23264.html

but im not sure i dont really follow with the abbreviations too well so its hard for me to speculate as to weather or not this is the problem, if some one could just confirm or deny for me

the bbv solenoid probally went out, unplug the vacumm off it and see if it has full boost. it might be something else but try that first since its free lol
 


Even though the DIC is a very poor way to diagnose issues related too boost...it still is a pretty easy way to determine that you have a vacuum leak of sorts I'd bet. When was the last time you replaced all of the rubber "T" Fittings around the blower/LIM/BBV/MAP? Or even the Vacuum lines that run from the TB to the EVAP system? Any CEL's?

they all looked decent last time i checked but ill look harder
