cam supporting mods/install tips

im in the process of getting all the stuff for a cam swap & wanted to know if their is any tips or tricks i should know of! i am planning on hopefully doing 1.8 RR's with this cam profile Duration @.050 Intake 212.10 (212) Exhaust 215.20 (215)
Intake Lift .326" (.5216 (.522) lift at 1:6:1 rocker ratio)
Exhaust Lift .322" (.5152 (.515) lift at 1:6:1 rocker ratio)
Lobe Separation 111.38 (111)

i am planning on having heads ported & polished as well as machined for up to .600 lift. i was thinking of getting 130lb springs/retainers/1.8 RR's/JP double roller/machined cover. along with the gaskets bolts/head studs.

i am sure i am missing something. if anyone can chime in it would be appreciated!

Sounds to me like you've got the right plan. Go ahead and get new keepers with the retainers just to be safe. They're cheap and beat the heck out of having to tear it back down if you drop a valve. Otherwise, I think you've got the right idea. Nice looking cam BTW.

ya thanx man!! im going to grab keepers/retainers/viton valve seals. just tryin to make sure im getting every thing lol.

Manley springs/reatiners, Viton seals and Comp Cams locks...win

the manley springs are damn nice. do they have 130lb springs or should i just get the 150lb's from intense? i am going with manley retainers along with comp cam locks!

thanx Bio!!

any one have any thoughts on what double roller is a better choice(JP or rollmaster)?

lol u knw im sitting here reading this and most of its flying over my head with all the technical mumbo jumbo lls. so i suppose a cam is better then rockers all in all.

If you dont understand it dont attempt it with out help. If you are mechanically challenged rockers would be better than a cam.

yeah i know, i know. i like the idea but can't tear apart the daily driver right now. I talked to someone about cam vs rockers. and how cam is better overall because it gives lift and duration rather then just rockers that just give lift. but its alot that has to go into installin a aftermarket cam.... *sigh*
