Where is the tinted tails thread?

I did some searching and couldn't find anything. I know there are a few different methods on tinting, and the one that I will be using is the body shop that I used to work at. Black+clear FTW. Anyways, has anyone tinted their stock taillights and left the reflective strip uncovered? Do you think it would look stupid? Post up pics if you got em.

I don't need help with HOW to do it. I have no problems in this area.

That is what I did. Car is dirty as hell, but you get the idea.

I've seen plenty of pictures with the whole thing painted, and I don't need help on how to do it. What I want is some pics or opinions, but pictures are better, of the tail lights tinted without tinting the reflectors. (thanks 01GTP)

Personal preference, I don't like the look as much, but if cops were a concern and I still wanted to get the full effect out of them, I'd tint them lighter than the rest of the tail light, so they're still tinted, don't look as awkward, but still show more.
 


this is how i did mine.. i was more concerned with safety then blacking them out, that and i like em this way better, takes the brightness off them but still plenty bright

That is about how dark I want mine to be. Thanks for the pic. I can show that to the painter so he has an idea of how dark I want them.
