ok well im trying to debate wheter it is worth it to put on cam or rockers a cam cost 345 shipped for a zzp gt2 cam or a set of 1.95 rr with springs and retainers cost 590 shipped wont i get the same gains from each 25 from a cam and 25 from the rockers and rockers cost alot less to install vs cam

p.s im looking for a high stall converter anyone got one

Buy a GTP. You keep saying you want to go fast, but N/A isn't going to cut it. Topswap or buy a GTP. Boost is your friend here.

well im gunna buy a gtp for boost but i want the n/a car i only wanna run 14s with this car the gtp will be my twin charged grocery getter i do not wannt top swap or i would have done it long ago lol keep the gas milage half decent not gunna get that with a boosted car i comute pretty far

Cam will always out power rockers if that is the ONLY mod you do. Cam it and top swap it and run low 13;s

surprisingly enough, the GTx series of cams make decent blower cams as well. so if you want you can cam it now and then top swap it later.

if you cam it, you are going to get worse gas mileage than if you top swap it. boosting it doesnt really hurt gas mileage unless you make the blower work (you push your car hard all the time)

so then would a rockers/ intercooler/ 3.0 pulley be a bad combo or should i cam it with that setup... sorry for thread jacking but this is my goal for my gtp...

That's not true...its all in the tune. I saw over 30 HWY with my XP/headers/LS1TB/3.2" or whatever pulley I was running.

the point is that hes not going to lose gas mileage with a top swap, at least not very much. hell you got better mileage than my gt.

I never said he was going to lose MPG's with a TS...you said the cam was going to net him worse MPG's and that isn't true. If the tune is bad, or richened up, then yes. If not...then it'll get just as good MPG's as a stock cam, if not better.

also, if you are definitely going to stay NA, go with the ER rockers. they are better for NA cars than 1.95. if you read up on the article zzp has on them, they FAR outperform the 1.9s in the high rmp range.

ZZ Performance
ya but it balances out cuz of the torq diff 1.9s had better torq the the ers and wouldnt roller rockers be better?
