What I was doing here was trying to build a 9sec grand prix, so I all of my equipment from intense racing and asked them if the stock motor would be able to hand the power, they said yes it would. A few months later after my roommate and I got everything put together and getting the timing perfect, I took it for a test run.
This is what happened to that run, ever since then the car since in my driveway dying, because the available money was gone.

Whoops.

I see this too often.

I applaud you on your quest to go 9's in a Grand Prix. Sadly there is much more to it than just bolts on will allow.

Allot of the items came from intense racing:
Stage 4 heads; 1.6 arms; stage 4 cam; Double Roller Timing Chain; MP112 supercharger with intercooler kit; slp headers; borla 3” exhaust not cat or mufflers; LS1 Throttle body; Siemens Fuel Injectors; NTENSE™ L67/L32 Ported Lower Intake.
some more that i am not able to remember but those are the mains.

dammm man..def interested as well on mods and what happened?
Once we got the motor put together I took to a well known drag guy in Tucson and he said it was ready for the strip. Took it down the street to be a show off and that is what happened. She restarted back up made it in the garage and hasn’t run since. I have been trying to figure out what I should do, but just don’t have the funds. My chargers maintenance costs are to high so I haven’t had anytime or money to fix this one.

For the technical, no one was able to get give me a reason, but I believe the bottom end couldn’t take the 18-20 pounds of boost that was going through the car.

I will tell you exactly what happened. You ran lean the piston rig got hot expanded chipped the piston and then it went down hill from there.

how much total did you have in the build? though it is ( was?) a badass setup i dont think it would even come close to 9's though..just curious why you stayed with a blower setup rather then going turbo?

Never did dyno, that was going to be a week later but unable to do that with a blown motor. We were going to work on the suspension on the car because the tires would not stick. It was a really rough estimate made between the guy who took a look at it and my roommate: 650 – 750 horses. I did say rough so do give me any BS for it.
The estimate came from the old parts that were pulled off (which is on my running Grand prix)and its dyno reading which was 423hp.
But the car just sits in the driveway, I think I am going to go to a junk yard and pick myself up a 3.8IIsupercharged and put it in the car until I feel like getting stupid again.
Why did i not go turbo, I was trying to prove a point that the blower could do just was well as a turbo.
