• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I might buy a 2002 GTP coupe supercharged, any downfall's?

Besides water in the car, the leak would have a direct shot at, i think its the blower motor. Anyways the result is not having any in cabin air curculation. No ac no heat no defogger.

Better than that, the floorboards could start to rust out.

The reason t-top cars from the 80's have holes in the floorboards is because of leaky t-tops.

I emailed him and this is what he wrote back:
Removed the u-bend and resonator so far i was planning to do 3 inch back to mufflers.
sounds like it's almost a stock exhaust. what damage could this do?

Well from what I know about it, it could chip a piston.... and problems like that. The ubend delete is good, but to go to a smaller pully you should have at LEAST a plog, and 3" dp. Headers would be better of coarse. but if you read the "safely modding your car" thread it will show you how this car has been done up wrong. It is a tuff call, the car could be fine, and you just gotta catch up on the supporting mods, or it could be ready to blow, if that pully has been on there for long, and or ran hard with that pully. From the info I have about the car, I would definetly be scoping ALL the cylinders, for chipping and scoring. Without scoping it you are playing russian roulette on that car.

hey 98, that's the best info i've received. clear and concise. i'm leaning away from it now thank's to you and all the other's that have chimed in. I think my needs would be better served with a stock supercharged GTP. The last thing i need is to have a ton of problems right off the bat. when you're looking fo a car like this patience is the name of the game....
