What is it with the people around me...and even my friends

Damn near 80% or more of the "dope rides" around me are just loud Hondas or other 4 bangers with a stereo system with all bass its almost like they are deaf and don't even like music just the way it feels. One of my best friends bought a 2009 honda civic si and hes like dan look at these cat back exhaust which sounds the best....and all I can tell him is I hate the way all of them sound. We were driving around today and he was looking at auto shops, and audio shops around here and people would be like sick ride man ... yea my buddy has that too man sick ride. Sorry just after hearing people go on about tin cans all day I feel like I had no where to turn and needed to go on a bit of a rant.(not saying the civic si is a peice of junk, the general theme today was a day full of ricer fans)
 


Jealous for sure...there are 2 or 3 newer Shelby mustang 500's, see some corvettes every few days during the summer, The town douche bag switched from an 199x eclipse to a chevy cobalt ss haha progress I guess. But if I pull up in a parking lot next to a 1995 civic with a muffler and a random person is on the side walk ...they would be like nice civic man. P.S. I love the rumble at the end of even stock gtps.
 
ha ya there are 3 nice STIs and 2 sweet evos 1 M3...and 9000 colbalt ss's, G6 GXPs, G5 GTs, SRT4s, and trailblazer SSs...if you count american cars to japanese its like a 25 to 1 ratio
 


haha its alright if I were to ever get an import it would probably be a Subaru. Although this kid that went down in history as the unapooper in my high school because he kept pooping all over the bathrooms bought one....yea he killed it for me I don't want one anymore I changed my mind.
 
if i were to get an import i would get a 2005 nissan sentra specV and drop VQ35DE V6 with the maxima 6-speed in there because my roomate is going to drop a SR20DET from an AWD pulsar into his and i want to be as fast as he is but with V6 power
 
Around here I get a few imports with open exhaust (Fart cans)... But ALOT! of trucks with no exhaust... Nothing annoys me more then a truck rippin' by my house probly in first gear @ 5500 rpms... (Cause anymore it blow... but it never happens... I want it too badly! so I can go out and laugh and point).

Cobalt's are not fast....
 


Here is just 97% stock cars, at LEAST 50% of which are GM, 2% are ricers, 1% american muscle cars.

If my friend said that, i'd tell him they all sound like ****.
 
Its funny my girlfriend does not even like to ride in his civic si because she said she just feels like a douche bag sitting in the car. Then the other day she made my day, she was sitting out side when I was backing my car up and she was like dan.....your car sounds awesome.

When u put on those headers it will sound like a whole new car. I get tons of stares an compliments on my sound after the header in stall.
 
Awesome I'm excited ... Just saving up for my 3.4 setup ...just have to finish some of the routine maintenance, and save for my headers, colder spark plugs, and 180 T-stat. I've been seeing some local grand prix with mods lately, hoping one day I'll be able to ask for some of their help, this is my first car I'm getting into modding on and could use some mechanical guidance.
 


Whenever I drive by a fart can with it's driver window down, I accelerate just enough to let them hear the SC whine and let them know what a real engine sounds like. ;|

you picked a winner haha. my girlfriend's looking for a car and i've got her hooked on pontiacs :) she told me to find her one, which is cool with me cause i love car shopping haha
 
I find it funny that people think these cars sound good. Some that have headers and cam have a decent lope at idle, but as soon as they're revved, they ALL sound like ass IMO.
