Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My first GTP

Hi all! My name is Jordan and I'm from Canada. I bought my first Grand Prix a little over a month ago. It is a 1995 GTP and I absolutly love it. As you can tell from my screen name, I also have a Fiero. I originally bought the GTP with the intention of ripping the engine out of it and putting it into my Fiero. But after driving the GTP for a few days, I decided that I'll give it the second chance at life that I gave my Fiero, and the previous owner of the GTP never tried. I got it for dirt cheap, and it had many many problems. The reason the people sold it was because of the famed massive oil leak and a faulty oil level sensor. She put 4 liters too much in and it smoked, got scared, and parked it. Then I got it. I'll post pictures later, and when I figure out how. Thanks!!

I know there is a much larger aftermarket for the 3800 and that it's an extremely dependable engine, but I'm not looking for a power house. I'm going to keep the gtp as a driver and just get a rebuilt lq1 for the fiero. I just feel the lq1 fits my driving style. Occasional high revving, lovely exhaust note, and decent power. Also, it's a little bit easier for me to swap in. All I have to fabricate is the wiring, exhaust, and cooling system. The only issue with my gtp is the noisey PS pump and A/C compressor. Hopefully I can take care of those sometime this week.

Oh man 327's are awesome! I took a ride in a bored and stroked 327 fiero and I can't believe how fast my head was thrown into the headrest. My neck hurt the next day lol. There is someone else in my area with a northstar fiero that is so sweet. It's for sale now though and I wish I had the money for it.

Welcome!
I'm glad you gave the car a chance at life. Hopefully the gtp will inspire you to pick up a 97+ in the future. The 3800s are golden.

N* swaps are pretty pointless. They're pretty garbage engines.

The N* in my dad's previous Cadillac was a beast. "The Tank" (93 STS) had 300ish hp. My cousin has it now and it has close to 200,000 miles on it with no problems.

On another note, welcome Jordan.

They drove it, so it's fine.

If you don't drive it, they go bad.

Its moronic how they work.

Funny you should say that.... my grandpa was the original owner and they would only drive it during the summer (my grandparents went south for the winters). When my dad got it, the tires were warped and the exhaust needed to be replaced all because of its lack of use. The engine was and still is fine.

Haha thank you for the welcomes everyone. I can't figure out how to post pics with my iPhone so I'll just have to do it when I get home tonight.

Post pics of your Fiero too. I wish i still had mine....:(. I had a v8 Archie kit and a built 350 ready to drop in....but it never happened...

I might be able to post a couple of the fiero because I have some hosted somewhere, but I'll have to find them though. I'll post some pics of both for sure when I get home.

Here are the ony two of the fiero I have online. I'll post a couple more with the GTP later.

edit:
(nvm...the site wouldn't let me...)
