thats my theory, our cars hve dark stockers to begin with so the change can be barely noticable sometimes.. compared to other cars with clear tails that would give it away instantly.

Hey guys so I re-did my tails. They were too dark for the daytime and I didn't wanna risk getting rear ended or pulled over. So I only used one coat and they turned out quite nice! First I used 80grit and orbital sander, then 140, then 400. One coat of vht and 3 coats of clear! Looks alot better then stock IMO and not too dark for the daylight. They're just right! I'll get sum pics up soon

Do you happen to have any pics with just one coat? I would like to do mine but I don't want my tail lights to be black either.

that looks pretty nice with one coat! Mine are leaking and the black paint on the grilles in the inside are coming off, one coat should take care of having to look at the paint missing.
