My sister is a cop here in Ontario. i have no idea of percentages or anything, but she said "as long as you can see through it, it's legal".

I still dont undersand how a tint ticket could be $350 bucks?

Here it's a $170 ticket.. and 80% of the time they give you one for the front, and one for the back = $340. Then you add in the $10 processing fee or whatever, and it's a $350 ticket here too.
 


This last weekedn I just go pulled over myself. Wife and kid in the car, no I wasn't speeding. So I am driving through po dunk town and I see a cop car with LIMO TINT on the windows. I tell my wife while looking at the car, how the hell can they do that. Well, got pulled over and he said, do you know your plates don't match your car. I told him I just got the car 2 weeks ago and should have the title this week....So he looked at my paper work, said thanks and got bock in his car. What the hell would make him even run my plates?
 
i left an apartment complex in a town near me at 2:45 in the morning once. i guess that was enough for a cop to ride my ass and run my plates until i was out of town.
 
they run plates randomly, mostly cuz they have nothing better to do.. but they are checking for stolen cars, bad registration (ie. plates dont match the car) and outstanding warrants to the registered owner, stuff like that.
 
but it looks so good and i hate the sun. they can pull me over all they want, im not taking it off.

i agree i have 5% on my windows all the way around im not takin it off ohio's 50%:th_nervous:
 
its 35% legal here, but i run 15% all around. i still need to get some tint on my impreza, the sun is bright.
 


ill probably put some up again after the wheels come. its nothing special. just an 06 base impreza. im upgrading to an STI next year cause this car is SLOW.
 
probably not, its a DD. ill lower it, but not a lot.

if i had a second car id make it into a scraper. weld some rails on the bottom and lay some frame going down the road. id need air ride to do that, however.
