G8 Gxp!!!!!!!!!!!!



Wow! I love the G8 GXP. The Pontiac "El Camino" looks like a Dodge Rampage.
As a Chevy person, I didn't really like the old El. A friend had an orange and black 69 El Camino SS 396. It was nice, "for and El Camino".
 
I could see myself behind the wheel of either one of those. However, I must PROTEST. They are bringing back these name plates from past era's, WHEN Pontiac, WHEN are you going to bring back the Firebird and make it the muscle car that it deserves to be?
 
The four-wheel independent suspension is fully adjustable and is tuned for the highest performance in the G8 family

The Brembo braking system matches the GXP's boost in performance with an equivalent increase in stopping power. The system includes 14-inch (355 mm) vented front and 12.76-inch (324 mm) rear disc rotors, with special quad-piston alloy calipers in front.

Ya Pontiac is killing the old name plates for the new ones. Grand Prix dead, Grand Am dead, Bonneville dead, Trans Am dead, Firebird dead, Sunfire dead.
G5=Sunfire
G6=Grand Am, Bonneville?
G8=Grand Prix

Seems that they want new names for people know they are totally new car.

Bonnie = Dead
Montana = Dead (Thank God!)
Torrent = Getting the AXE
I think the Vibe is on its way out too.
 
pontiac has said they will go to letter number combinations for all cars as that's what people buy (americans think european when they hear those and evidently are too stupid to read the brand name)
 
vibe= toyota matrix.....kinda sad really. pop the hood...and a toyota engine is there.

G8= Grand Prix/ GTO
 


I could also see myself behind the wheel of a new G8 GXP. Can't wait for the GXP to show up at my dealer. Might have to take it for a spin.

Don't look for it soon the GXP will be in 2009. and their will only be about 14 thousand G8 being imported this year. Most dealerships will only get like 3-8 cars for this whole year! Look for pricing for the G8 GXP to be near or over 40 grand!

Hopefully history will repeat and it will follow the Camaro. Speaking of which when the heck is the Camaro going to be on a lot? Been all talk for the last 2 years.

Late this year it will be hitting the lots. To me the inside needs a LOT of work! Hopefully they will work out every thing with the car before putting it out even if it means delaying.
