A few visual ideas just curious what everyone thinks or if they have done it.

So I live in Northwest Indiana, and their are an abundant amount of GPs around here. So I really would like to make mine look different. All my ideas are relatively cheap and IMO would look good. First and foremost I have been testing the idea of putting the 04+ foglights in place of mine like that of that concept GP with the ls1 in it. Either that or the 08 foglights. I'm sure it would require some cutting around the outside of the foglight of the black plastic Idk. That's idea #1 next on my list was the older rims. I found a set of the first gen with the pontiac engraved on one of the 5 spokes. They are also 16's and have a bit of an offset to them. I think they would look sweet compared to my 5 spoke cross laces I have stock. Next has anyone decided to repaint the bottom part of the front and rear bumper a different color? I was thinking black on bright red would look good and match the new grills I found at the junkyard, and my final was I watch a video of a silver turbo GP racing I think a GTO on youtube, and back corners where orange instead of completey red. I like this idea and went out and bought orange 195 to try to recreate this but the lens is red is it had no effect. All opinions are welcome. By the way I think tomorrow I'm going to the exhaust shop to get the GXP axle back mounted I will post pics soon.
 


A lot of people of painted the lower fascia of these cars and it tends to look great. You say your car is red? Paint those fascias black is pretty popular and will look good.

As for this LS1 GP concept... intrigued. Show me?
 
idk about the newer foglights, i think the ones on there no look fine, maybe just put different lenses in there, i replaced my whole housings with blue ones and love how it turned out. i have seen those rims on 6th gen GPs and i like how they look. my bumper fascias are black on a red car and i like how they look. not a fan of orange in the tail lights, just tint them

Ok thanks guys I think I'm gonna do the black front and rear fascia. Just curious did you clear after you painted the fascia black? Idk if there is a write up. If you gave me some ideas I would appreciate it CTKGP09. T
 
ya i clear coated and there is a few threads that explain how to do it and what kinds of paint to use. just search and you will find alot more info than im willing to put in the reply box ha
 


i think one that i'm looking forward to after my HID kit/painted black headlight housings is window tint. smoked tails would look pretty good too. and those pontiac inlays to go on the rear bumper

Yeah all of those things are tasteful appearance upgrades good choices.
