Boosting Under Load? Normal?

I was on the expressway the other day and I was cursing, got up to about 80 and noticed I was in boost and the RPMs were pretty high. I just had the cruise control set at 80. I don't have a real boost gauge but the stock on was jumping between 1 and 2 blocks lol. Is this normal? I thought it was but a friend told me it wasn't.

Nope. Just flat expressway cruising and it was boosting.

You'll notice boost fluctuation because the CC is trying to maintain that speed you set it on so it'll accel/decel whenever it deems necessary...and for god's sake get a real boost gauge.

Yeah one of these days I'll get a 3-pod A-pillar. So it's norml then jsut cruising to see/hear some boost?
