Mirror compass won't calibrate

So I have the OnStar (useless)/Compass/Temp/AutoDim mirror in my 03 GTP. I can't get the compass to calibrate.

I've tried both techniques listed in the manual to no avail.

Is there a master reset I can invoke and then try to recalibrate it? Anyone else run into this issue?

Disconnect the battery for a minute. Your mirror is probably pooched
