• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

new to forum....new to superchargers

It's simple. If the boost bars flicker back and forth between say one or two bars that's a sign of knock. If the boost bars stay lit up or don't light up at all thats a vacuum leak. See, its still a useful gauge :th_laugh-lol2:

soooo the lights now show how much timing you have? since knock pulls timing... and not boost... i dont understand how this would make sense? and ill admit ti could be useful for finding vacuum leaks but thats about all i see its good for well and a light show for people to go oohhhh ahhhhh lol

I know it's not really a reliable way to diagnose car problems. for that ppl should take thier cars to a mechaninc :th_thumbsup-wink:

i checked for vacuum leaks and found nothing, but when i unhook the t fiting on the supercharder where the two vacuum lines come together my boost would read full, when i installed the t fitting it will only get to half boost.

boost bypass valve right? wheres it located? how do you fix it?

i searched and found nothing about location or how to fix it most threads i found talk about why you should no delete it. nothing on how to fix it.

you can run it vacuum controlled and disable it. take the lower vacuum line off the solenoid (it looks like a mushroom top with a lever going into the blower case) and leave it open to the atmosphere. you can then just cap off the line at the fuel pressure regulator.

^^^so if stock 7ish psi gives us an extra 40hp then it will now get an additional 995.385 give or take a few numbers?

what thats alot of HP's hahaha, so unplug the vacuum line coming from the t fitting the the mushroom looking thing and this will have no cons to it?
are there any pros to doing it?

heres a pic is this right

the cons to it are that the car will no longer be able to cut boost under torque management or a couple other times.

i believe you have it right, i dont know how the stock vacuum line setup works since i never had one for the l67.

cut boost under torque management or a couple other times

what is this under torque management?

also i thinks it tcs the button next to the boost gauge, well mine is always off the tcs off light is on and when i push the buttom it never turns on, i think the buttons broke,
could this be causeing my problem, whats tcs for

look for a blown 10 amp fuse under fuse box under the hood. may or maynot be it. is ur abs light on too? torque mag. is to keep from breaking the trans/safety feature for trans.

ya i thought that, i found some other threads talking about the same thing but what can i do to fix the boost bypass valve the right way not just unhooking it.
