• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ok well lets start here....
i blew my old L67(rod knock like a mutha) well anyway so i went with a L36 motor completly rebuilt. well after i got it in the car nd running i blew the rear main seal. well replaced that and the sc nd intake manifold gasket just because it was old. well heres my situation replaced that seal nd gaskets nd now it idles really rough no misfire just will not idle like its supposed to. i drove the car nd it was fine it would just idle a little high. so i took it back home nd let it idle on its own. until it started to die out so i revved it up nd held it at around 3000rpm for a few seconds than let off the throttle dropped to perfect idle around 800 nd than died out.

my buddy was thinkin the cp needs to relearn itself nd idk what to think myself. is there anyone out there that has had these problems before? is there a computer relearn procedure? please somebody help me out...

is there a vacuum leak? or it could be a bad idle air contol valve had alot of problems with iac goin bad and causing car to rev real high or not idle at all

hmm, only thing i can help you out with is how to spell 'And'.

i do have a question though. if the l36 was rebuilt, why weren't all the gaskets replaced? do you have any codes?

sorry didnt need a spell check..thanks tho.
i havent been working AND well unemployment has been building it.
it could be a vacuum leak but not sure. i got the running fine just idling weird. i drove it about 10 miles or so.

you have an top swapped l36 with nothing else done to the car? i think i found your problem. YOUR PISTONS ARE GONE!
