I want to check to see if my sc coupler is bad. it sounds like it but want to make sure. ive heard taking the sc belt and starting the car is a good way to tell. how do i take the SC belt of and back on? what tools will i need and how long will this take? thanks

you need a 15mm wrench and about 1 minute of time. loosen up the tensioner that is holding the belt tight and take it off the blower pulley. if you dont pull it off all the other pulleys you wont have to reroute the belt.

See pic below - Use a 15mm socket on pulley bolt (3) above pulley (9) and turn the ratchet to the right. When the tensioner loosens, slide the belt off either smooth pulley (3) or smooth pulley (9), and then let off the tensioner. If you try to remove the belt first from the supercharger pulley, it can catch on the lip and makes it a lot harder.

When you reinstall, put the belt around all pulleys except (3), then move the tensioner with the ratchet and slide onto (3).
