• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

my car recently started doing this weird thing, it will start immedietly, then stall....if i restart it will do the same thing. if i turn the key to start, it will start. if i keep the key turned it will stall and crank then fires up and stays running, no issues while driving, no engine light, i tried the maf no change, i tried the icm and it seemed to fix it for about two weeks. then problem returned. i dont want to keep throwing parts at this thing. i am wondering if its got anything to do with the crank sensor. any help is appriciated. also if i hold the gas it will start and run, but if i let go of the pedal it will stall. if i let go of the pedal and catch it b4 it stalls, then let it idle down it will stay running. also if i hold the gas and keep it idled up for about 45 seconds then it will stay running also....let me know any ideas, it really sucks.

I doubt it is a fuel pump problem..... I'd put money on your crank position sensor. Does the tach on the gauge panel go crazy by any chance??? It's also a symptom of a bad CPS.

the tach actually works fine. i trired to bend the tab n the fuel pump relay and car still does it. it basically does it everytime now. i believe it to be the cps, thats where im going next, i will post my results. thanks for all the input fellas! i learned how to deal with the problem tho lol, never shut it off. hehe

You may want to consider replacing the cam sensor while you are in there.
