Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

why am i knocking?

Stock pulley, Downpipe and Intake. A few times over the past month it has gotten bad enough to hear in midrange rpm through first and second gear. i always use 93.

YIKES DUDE! Get that thing on a scanner SOMEHOW. Sure something isn't loose in the valvetrain? Can you get a video of it? Also...your open cone probably is hurting more than helping at that mod level.

wow ive never had knock bad enough that i could HEAR it.

Audible knock is the WORST LOL

i can get video with my phone....but it does it randomly. a few months ago the gap on cylinder 6 got bent. i posted on here and bio said more than likely chipped piston. that may have somethin to do with it?

Sure it isn't burst knock due to a bad plug/coil/wire?

Could also be the downpipe hitting the sway bar...since you have the downpipe.

i just did the plugs and wires about 2k miles ago... parts store didnt have autolites, so i got ac delco 606's i believe and stock wires. may be a dumb question but how do i go about checking the coil? i dont really think its the DP, this sounds more like internal engine noise.

video man...video...cant really diagnose an engine noise over a keyboard if your smellin' what I'm steppin' in ;)

ill see if i can get any decent vid with my blackberry. im gonna go now as a matter of fact.

seafoam the top end. a haynes or chilton will tell u how to check the resistance in your coils. remember to check the primary and secondary side of the coils.

Did you gap the plugs properly? Are all of the wires in good condition, not burnt or chewed up?

I'm wondering if I got the wrong plugs! I went Advanced and I told the guy I was on a budget. Now I'm no ASE mechanic (but not affraid to get dirty), and I do ask a sh*t load of questions before I do any work on my 2003 GT. So when I went to Advanced they gave me Champion copper plugs....I just replaced my Cat, plugs and wires. I got Autolite "professional" wires, and those champion plugs. When I accelerate I can hear a faint knocking and I'm not sure If I should replace my plugs AGAIN!!!!! I only hear it when I hit the gas. Also does anyone know if using a magnaflow cat (direct fit) is louder at the top! Or am I just an idiot and screwed something up! It's much louder than it used to be. There is something at the top of the down pipe (which wasn't on my stock cat. Just wondering!!!!

You did not answer my question.

What did you gap the plugs to?

I didn't know you asking me a question since my first post on this topic was after you. Anyway ...no bigs! I just opened the box and put them in my car! The counter person at Advanced said they were pre-gapped!
