If I get the U bend & the resonator Deleted,
will this affect the emissions or not?:th_nervous:
& will this actually help or mess up my gtp's performance?:th_nervous:

So yeah,
THANKS :)

I saw watched a vid of some guy that
only did that & its sounded kinda nice.
like a throaty kinda sound.
but thats just me.

stock everything only a res delete.
SUPPOSABLY :p

but thanks :)

do the u-bend delete, thats it. the resonator keeps the car from being raspy, which you cant hear on internet videos. either way youre going to do it how you want, but dont come crying back to us because we will just say "told you so". the exhaust on these cars absolutely sucks, regardless of what you do to it. leave it quiet and mellow.

If you want to remove the res but a glasspack back in place of it... You dont want to run straight pipe to the mufflers it will sound like ass

Do the res delete...and watch people LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH. I put a res back in my car after a guy with a Honda toldme it sounded bad. Might as well get a 3" Downpipe...

My car's going to perform its OWN muffler or resonator delete.

Just a matter of time... I'll let you guys know how terrible it sounds.

I have an 05gp that I got the exhaust done up with headers, full 2.5in piping with a cat and two flowmaster super 44's. I deleted the resonator and the u-bend obviously and I love the sound. It is very loud, but no rasp at all. Of course if you sit there and rev the **** out of it idoling youll get a tiny bit of rasp, but I never ever do that and driving there is no rasp whatsoever. I love the sound, but like I said it is loud and you can hear it inside so it is all opinion. Performance wise removing both the u bend and resonator will increase flow, but I dunno how much... You should get a downpipe for sure to replace the u bend, but you might be better off keeping the res unless you change the mufflers and everything else...

If you put a glass pack where the res is, it mellows the sound out more and you get a straight through flow... Sure it won't flow as well as a straightpipe but it'll be damned close.

Also, catback on our cars = waste of money unless you're getting stupid high in power.

And even moreso, how the hell do you think a V6 without a resonator sounds good? Only engines you can straight pipe are eights. Everything else just sounds like some sort of rice.

So by the looks of it keep the Res.
i dont want my car to sound raspy,
much less sound RICEY.
haha..

ill keep it my car Quiet for now..

One Quick Question..
putting in an intake will make my car kinda roar a bit,
right?

& yeah..
thats true v8 with straight pipes
will intimidate with just hearing em :)

*Thanks everybody :)

That's retarded to say...so your telling me a Carrera GT V10, a Lamborghini V12 powerplant, or a Citzeta V16 or Veyron sound bad?

Get real.

Get real.

Those cars come with near straight pipes to begin with. They already sound loud and menacing.

Also, most people can't afford them and the people who can don't touch the exhaust.

How is that not being real?

It is being real because you said the only engine to straight pipe is a V8.

the thing is with all the videos that are on the internet, NONE of them are people doing normal driving, there all high reves in park, which always sound horrible. Make some vids with stock mufflers and res. delete and see how it sounds while doin normal drive by's
