hi guys i love the sound of my exhaust at idle but i hate the drone on the highway im running a plog with 2.5 catted dp with resonator and cherry bomb glasspack mufflers i wanna get rid of the cherry bombs but still want a nice rumble at idle with no drone its killing my ears i drive 2200 km a month and 1600 of it is highway so what is a good muffler somthing half as loud as glasspack

switch the resonator with a glasspack (24"+) and get some very mellow mufflers like borla or stock ones even.

Yea resonators should be replaced with a glass pack.. made my car queiter and a more mellow tone.

I had the Cherry bomb turbo mufflers on my car.. They sounded alright.. but they were a bit high pitched

flowmasters will drone more than your exhuast does now, i know by experience. i ripped my flowmasters off and put them in the garbage in exchange for a stock catback. i enjoy the blower whine, not dirty 3800 exhaust note. either way, i would shy away from chambered or straight through mufflers. they are made for v8s, not a raspy v6.

so any turbomuffler will do those are stock design but a little louder right i don't wanna spend more the 50 dollaer each muffler glass packs were 30 each

I got flowmasters nanananana.

I think they sounded good with the XP...wait till you hear them with the new cam

they do sound good at idle and WOT if you have a glasspack to smooth them out. however, i did not enjoy how they droned on the highway and that is a big part of what i drove everyday.

I like the sound of the stock muffler on our GP GT. Always have. It has just the right amount of rasp to it for a V6. It's very hard to get a V6 to sound good. I'm wondering if I can get one at a junkyard and retrofit it onto an '07 V6 Mustang?

there are mufflers that the v6 mustang guys like a lot, they are called MAC mufflers. you could experiment with those, too.

^^Nothing like a kick in the nuts...

Or, get them from me...I've got 2 sets.

Wait till I get my new mufflers on...my flows are history.
