well.. good news i think... i found a 99 GTP that was hit on the drivers side pretty hard.. 120k motor and trans in "great shape" so he says. goin to look at it tomorrow. 600 bucks.

are you running a stock pully and if not wht supporting mods do you have besides dp the reason i ask is because if you don't have the mods to support it you could have blown your engine by to much kr so it will happen again with the new engine unless you do more mods to support the smaller pully hope this helps
 


update: my final plan is to just buy a complete L67, hopefully get this complete totalled 99 GTP... drop L67 in it... put my toasted motor on a engine stand and attempt to rebuild it myself with the "help" of a friend.
 
depends on how your motor blew. if your cylinders look like the picture 01 posted, you cant rebuild it haha. and if your cranks scared, itll need turned.

Not true. I had rings wrapped around the crank and a rod smacking the cylinder wall...wall was perfect and so was the crank...just need cleaned up a bit with Emory cloth...done.
 
i had 3 shattered pistons and they didnt scar the crank. i was just saying if it may need turned
 


thanks guys... im hoping the toasted engine isnt too effed up... like i said it happened just a minute or 2 from my house.. i basically coasted into my driveway after it happened.
 
$600 for the motor and trans???that sound very good. i bought a 150k one from my "friend" foe $450, some friend huh?
 
damn, my "friend" screwed me. i'm almost in the same boat. 217k is starting to take its toll. what cam u gonna run, me a vs i believe.
 


going downhill? i believe its already there. leaning towards XP... ill be happy if i can make up for the powerloss with the 20's.
