FM3 Pics Thread

Whelp...new car pack is pretty sick. Already got a new GT500. Pretty fun car to drive IMO. Bimmer is a turd, the New Saleen S5S has a supercharger that made me change my pants...and the new 'Vette looks pretty slick (with TONS of color options).

A few pics I took tonight...

And...the car everyone hates...my 8 second GT-R (which ran a better 8.942 tonight)

The game doesn't do it justice. I've seen a GT500 just like that in real life...passed it on the highway on a trailer. It was teh sechs.

The new GS is a '10, confirmed now that I own the pack.
Also, if the GT-R is that good, why don't you save the tune, sell it on the marketplace? List it as an 8.9 car and people should be all over that at 5-10k

Edit: Also, attention to detail is amazing. I was on interior view of the '10 GS and noticed when looked over the top of the radio (which is a double-din just fyi) and it had a clock in the upper corner which was displaying actual time.

I would...or i can just tune yours...I hate selling stuff...I want to be original...so other people can't duplicate it...find out yourself :p Know what I mean? Money isn't much of an issue in this game for me...

You'd have some serious popularity though. And once you post that stuff it auto-locks so people CAN'T crack it open.

Meh...its alright...I like being one of the fastest V6 GT-R's out there with a 2-spd style transmission setup ;)

2 speed eh? Kickin srs ass huh?
As far as drags I blow hardcore anyhow. I can never get a good launch because I'm either too heavy or too light on the button, so im either crawling or spinning. *sigh*

yea u could always tune them so thee a bit slower then sell tht, so its popular and if they race u, they wont win lol

In any case, there are so many things that would make Forza 3 192831092831 times better.
A.) More paint options. We need pearl, and flat, and all that good stuff. Also the ability to paint other things. Not being able to paint a wheel because it is stock is silly, not being able to paint it because it is chrome is silly. Also, the ability to paint things like grills or such would be nice. I wanted to make a G8 Firehawk Replica. The grills aren't chromed on the Firehawk, and you can't have flat paints anyway.
B.) Also kind of a paint this is, the fact that if you have a car with a design (like the 2010 Vette GS's Fender Stripes, the Firebirds hood paint, or the 90 Camaro IROC-Z's stripe), and you either choose a color, or not to have it at all, you can't go back. If you chose red, it's red, forever. If you chose not to have one, you never will. If you chose to have one, you can only cover it up with vinyls.
C.) Certain oddities could be fixed. The Solstice I know for a fact has an aftermarket bumper that has a dual-exhaust outlet, but otherwise looks the same... if you buy it, you still have single-exhaust and an empty hole on the other side. Upgrade exhaust doesn't fix it either. Also, tuning cars and lowering the adjustable springs, or even raising them, doesn't show a visual difference, which in my opinion looks silly.

Just thought I'd vent that, I'm sure there are some other things I forgot, or other things other people would like.

Also, WTF NO GRAND PRIX GUIZ

Things I am gonna say...

1) Tires - There NEEDS to be an option for slicks. I've got bone stock RWD cars blowing the tires off of racing slicks...its wrong. Those things should pull a damned wheelie. I have to drop the pressure to like 15-18 just to see a difference...then by the 1/8 I'm losing ground because the tire is flat. :th_thumb-down:

2) Caliper Paint - GET IT. I was beyond mad when I found out that feature was pulled from FM3...I mean...since it was in FM & FMII, you'd think they'd leave it.

3) Exhaust Tips - Should be another option...that would make an insanely huge impact to the game.

4) Motor Swaps - Know I now there are lots of choices...but I'd also like to see feasable options...I mean c'mon people...how many Audi LeMans Turbo Diesel engines do you see in a Audi A4? Not sure if you can do that but you get the picture. Like LSx motors in an RX or Silvia, or the 2.3 Turbo in the Fox...or for SURE FUN...a LS6 in a Civic or a 350 in a Focus. Real world meet gaming...that is what this game is supposed to be about right?

I for sure agree about the painting too...one thing that you say I know is wrong though...you might not see the lowering on the main screen...but if you go into a test drive or something and play with the spring height...you'll clearly be able to see the car lower and raise itself when you change the specs ;)

but if you go into a test drive or something and play with the spring height...you'll clearly be able to see the car lower and raise itself when you change the specs ;)

Never thought about trying that. I just thought lowering a car by a whole inch would show that a little more clearly I guess. Or that a car being 4.2 inches from the ground would look 4.2 inches from the ground regardless, rather than looking half a foot. =P

All the other stuff you said, I agree with too. Wheelies are apparently possible (never accomplished one myself), but it'd be nice to have tires for such, rims with screws (since you don't want the tires flying off) and wheelie bars. Tips (especially with the dual-outlet bumpers I mentioned), calipers, and more realistic motor swaps (and maybe more options, I notice with almost all pontiacs and chevys, you can basically just say 'eff it' and throw in the vette or stock car engine, since those are the ones pretty much available).

Also, since we have so much "realism" already, the drags should work a bit more realistic.
A.) The ability to do a real burn-out, since the only way current is to pound the gas, then it's up to what you've got under the hood.
B.) Pre-drag period to do said burn-out, so you can heat up those tires a bit.
C.) Actual drag-style countdown? Just lights, rather than any of that silly camera angle bull. =P

exactly lol but u should give me your real tune for the gtr
and i can do a burnout? it doesnt make smoke but still works, not on the awd tho

Well I mean, a burnout is possible, but if you hold either brake and attempt it, you just rev. If you slam the gas, you either lose control or you gain traction, no continuous stand-still burnout.
