well i aint on here much anymore but i had a few questions... base 2005 GP is the car... what would be a good turbo setup... ive read a bunch in this section but still donno what to run... im getting tired of gettin passed up by my buddies and my girl wants to go fast:th_biggrin1::th_biggrin1:

i was looking at the z3 kit with the turbo upgrade but i was just kinda looking... list of supporting mods would be appreciated too... looking to be in the 350-400hp range and keeping it a daily driver till the camaro is back up

If your gonna go turbo then do a Z7 twincharged kit with T67 turbo and Gen V supercharger with S3 IC. lol. with that u wont be gettin passed up much more.

Z3 kit is a nice base build...IMO...just go big on the fuel/flowing sides of things...and boost the F**K out of it :D

ya but that would be a bad ass setup though.

But on a non supercharged car, if ur looking for some good power the T62-1 puts down. U can always upgrade turbos later. But your gonna need a rebuilt trans to hold up.

The Z7 kit is not available in twin charge configuration, you'd have to run a completely custom tune. The stattama kit is available in twin charge configuration.

The Z3 kit would be your best option right now.

suporting mods on the z3 kit???? also the options that would be best to choose for that kit would be nice.... honestly whats the diffrence between the z3 and z7 kit???

Supporting mods would be larger injectors or get them with the kit and be prepared to beef up the transmission if your going to beat it. The base kit should be alright for stock tranny, but if your going intercooled or above 9+psi its wise to assume its going to blow the tranny. The Z7 kit is their original kit, the Z3 kit is their new kit that was made for customers on a budget but still want great results. You will always make more efficient power with a turbo setup rather than a supercharged setup. 9psi on a turbo is a kick in the ass, 12psi can be neck snapping, 20+psi shreds tires on a 50mph roll

100. To the tire...or close to it. I'd say 6 is a bit low, but I'd run about 10 psi with a smaller IC to be safe

six is a bit low is an understatement. I assume with the kit you get you are going to get the i/c too if not I wouldn't bother going turbo, you could easily start at 12 psi with a FSIC and meth :th_thumbsup-wink:

Sorry to drag up this thread, but I was wondering the differences between the two kits as well. You can't do a search of Z3 or Z7 on here because the term is too short.

So the Z3 is a budget setup. Is the turbo the limiting factor in that kit compared to the Z7 setup? I'm looking at both kits for my 07 Grand Prix. I could always change to a different turbo down the road if I desired to, and I wouldn't mind starting small and working up to a larger turbo.

The Z3 was basically revised piping that made the kit a little cheaper to make. You could talk to someone like Matt M at ZZP for different sized turbo options on that kit. They will be able to clear things up and get you setup with something. I know they have made good hp numbers on the Z3 kit though.

400+ would not be a problem with the basic Z3 kit. The S256 Bullseye is good from something like 550hp.

I have an intercooled Z3 kit with some other bolts ons and 15psi. It is a fun ride.
